Burnish CPR is a method of resuscitation used specifically for Burnish. It is shown twice throughout Promare.

Similar to its other counterparts, the recipient is given flames via mouth-to-mouth by the rescuer. Said recipient will always be Burnish. A light can be seen at their chest during the procedure. If successful, all the receiver's wounds will be healed by the flames. Failure will result in them dying and then fading to ashes. The energy needed for the procedure is said to leave the rescuer exhausted, making it fairly difficult to maintain and succeed[1].
During Galo's attempt, he presses into Lio's chest due to his experience with other methods. This is not a requirement for Burnish CPR. It is required for real life procedures though.

The audience is first introduced to the subject by Lio. As he is confronting Galo, an Elderly Burnish informs him of Thyma, whose condition is greatly worsening. With this, he attempts to save her by giving his own flames to her via mouth-to-mouth. Her chest glows during the procedure. Despite his best efforts, Thyma fades to ashes as everyone is left upset.
Later on, with the help of Lucia and Heris, Galo is sent to the Promatech Engine where Kray and Lio is. After freeing Lio and punching Kray, Galo attempts hand-to-hand CPR instead. Realizing this isn't getting anywhere, he then recalls Lio's previous attempt and swallows his flames. Using the mouth-to-mouth technique, Galo presses his lips against Lio's, breathing fire into him. As Lio wakes up, Galo realizes he lit a flame for the first time and demands Lio take responsibility. Lio responds by suggesting they burn the world together which Galo agrees to.

Trivia[]
- During Galo's rescue of Lio, he first attempts chest compressions. His rhythm is fairly slow though, as rescuers must do 100 beats per minute.
- Both Galo and Lio's attempts also do not involve the pinching of the nose despite being inspired by mouth-to-mouth procedures.
- After saving Lio and realizing what he's done, Galo demands he "take responsibility" in the literal translation. The phrasing itself is used typically in romantic Japanese media.
- In the Mandarin dub TV broadcast, both scenes of Thyma being rescued and Galo doing mouth-to-mouth with Lio were censored due to anti-LGBT regulations forbidding gay relationships be portrayed in films considered 'children's media[2].'
