Burnish cycles are motorcycles created with Burnish flames. They are associated with Mad Burnish bikers typically. Lio and his generals' cycles are given names in the character guide book.
Appearance[]
Detroit[]
Complete with yellow and pink highlights, Detroit is a pure black bike. The plating on this motorcycle's back is far larger than at the front. Each handle bar is long and held above the seat. Compared to Lio, the mass of this particular bike is fairly large, forcing him to reach above his head. This is less of an issue when in his armor, though.
Miami[]
A sleek dirt bike befitting of Gueira's bull-like armor. Going along with its motorist's color scheme, red lights emit the sides of this vehicle. The tires feature indentation and tracking perfect for harsh surfaces. Like all Burnish bikes, the plating is an obsidian color.
Dallas[]
Matching with Meis' thin frame, this slender bike features blue highlights and noir plating. No treading can be seen at the wheels. Unlike Gueira's vehicle, Dallas does not feature headlights. According to the guide book, Meis excels at speed, making his bike the fastest of the trio.
History[]
Before Promare[]
As shown in the Great World Blaze, many Burnish incorporated their abilities into making tools even in the Burnish person's early days. One of the most noteworthy is the Burnish cycle. They are typically driven by biker gangs or casual motorists. The most noteworthy of these gangs is Mad Burnish.
Galo-hen[]
Several years later, Gueira and Meis drive to burn a nearby Foresight Pharmaceutical. They then encounter Burning Rescue and later take an unconscious Thyma away on their bikes. Reuniting with their fellow Burnish, Freeze Force tracks the group down. The duo attempt to distract them to no avail. Lio then intervenes, saving Mad Burnish. At this point, Lio is not an official member.
Promare[]
The trio reappear in Promare. Aiming to get arrested, Lio, now the leader of Mad Burnish, and his generals once again drive to a local pharmaceutical. They proceed to light the building ablaze. Burning Rescue soon intervenes. Gueira and Meis briefly fight against a struggling Galo, having an advantage at speed. However, the latter pulls out his trump card: his Matoi Tech. Being able to catch up, the young rookie takes down the duo, leaving Lio. He proceeds to slam his bike into Galo and taunt him. Another fight breaks out. During the chaos, Lio loses his bike while being chased after by Galo.
Later on at Fennel Volcano, Freeze Force once again tracks down several Burnish and raids the hideout. Mad Burnish then appears. The trio attempt to fight off the police force. With the usage of a mole however, Lio is left paralyzed. Gueira and Meis fight back, attacking their oppressors with bikes and sacrificing themselves to save Lio. In the aftermath, the duo are left frozen and promptly taken away.
Abilities[]
- Speed: Naturally, as a vehicle, these motorcycles allow their driver to make a quick escape or travel. They function almost exactly as their non-Burnish counterpart.
- Durability: When driving head-on into freezing projectiles, their motorist is left unfazed. This is most notable in the case of Lio.
- Protection: Due to their durability, they could technically be used as a means of self defense. They can be used to block out shots or simply drive away from danger. For Galo to even catch up to Detroit, he had to launch himself with a water hydrant canon.
