The RM01, alternatively the Ice Breaker or Icebreaker, is a rescue mobile adorned in fireproof armor. Ignis is the designated driver, leading the Mega Max during Burning Rescue emergencies.
Appearance[]
The Ice Breaker resembles a sports car. It features orange, red, and gray segments. It is an average-sized vehicle that is towered over by the Mega Max. The plating is enough to withstand heat. In a way, it acts as the front eyes for the Mega Max. The vehicle's front features the engine and orange bars at the headlights. Burning Rescue's logo is featured on the sides.
History[]
Galo-hen[]
After the station's fire alarm goes off, Ignis and his fellow colleagues head out. Ignis in particular uses the Ice Breaker to travel to the scene. However, he does not use it for combat, opting to use his freeze gun and guide his fellow co-workers instead. It can occasionally be seen in the background.
Promare[]
When a local Foresight Pharmacutical is set ablaze, Ignis is first shown making car repairs to his vehicle. He then proceeds to head out. After arriving, he attempts to guide the others, but Galo proceeds to ignore his advice thanks to Mad Burnish's presence. Due to Ignis' vehicle being unable to deal with fires themselves, he opts to use the elevator despite real life safety concerns.
As Ignis is driving during Lio's attack on Promepolis, he comes across Galo, whose pants are on fire. Ignis can only comment on this. Galo opts to jumping inside the Mega Max to be put out by Lucia and Varys.
In the aftermath of Heris' betrayal and Galo's fall from the Parnassus, Ignis and co. arrive to deal with Freeze Force. Ignis and Vulcan in particular fight with their vehicles, crashing them into each other and then themselves.
Abilities[]
- Drive: Ignis uses the Ice Breaker to guide the Mega Max behind him.
- Durability: The Ice Breaker is adorned in a heavy armor resistant to fire. Ignis uses the Ice Breaker to ram into Vulcan's vehicle.

Trivia[]
- The RM in RM01 stands for "rescue mobile."
- As stated by Koyama, there is no passenger seat in the vehicle, replaced by more Nitro systems instead. There is also a personal rescue gear inside for Ignis[1].
Story Concepts[]
- Concept features Ignis using the car door as a shield alongside a fire axe. A gun was also seen at the top.
- Furthermore, during Ignis and Vulcan's crash into each other, his rescue gear was to shoot out of the car. This scene was ultimately scrapped[1].
