Exploring this aspect of the Promare Wiki contains heavy spoilers.

The Parnassus is a colony ship from the movie Promare. Kray plans on using the ship to migrate himself and about ten thousand others to an alternative planet. It is supported by the Promatech engine.

According to Heris, Aina was supposed to be on board due to her sister's insistence. Heris, on the other hand, is left underground to deal with the engine.

Appearance[]

The Parnassus is an enormous gray box that encompasses everything within. Mechas such as Krazor-X are only half the height of this object. Only Galo de Lion rivals it in size, only due to said mech being able to encase the world. This ship carries Kray's establishment and various buildings within, projecting a fake sky. The Foresight tower, on the other hand, sits atop the roof. It's white coat highly contracts with the ship's grey metal.

History[]

Promare[]

After Lio reveals to Galo the Foresight Foundation's experimentations on the Burnish, the rookie firefighter confronts Kray at his office. After giving back his badge, he questions Kray on the immoral practices he participates in. Kray resolves to reveal the truth to him.

As they alongside Biar head for Heris' lab, he claims that in six months, the world will be encased in magma and flames. Thus, to prepare for this, a gigantic ship named 'Parnassus' will take up to ten thousand people away to another world called Omega Centauri. This essentially leaves the rest of the world to die. Galo finds the idea to be horrible, especially after Heris' demonstration with the pizzeria employee. This results in him being locked away.

Parnassus launch

A week after, Heris gives Galo his final supper. As she leaves, Galo confronts her, questioning her on her hypocrisy. She becomes defensive, claiming it to be "for Aina's sake." The younger sister herself later confronts Heris about Galo's disappearance. Heris claims him to be a terrorist, attacking Kray for unknown reasons. She then informs Aina she will be receiving a call later, confirming the Parnassus' launch to be that night and Aina to be a passenger. At launch time, Heris finds Aina to not be on the ship, resulting in her begging Kray to wait for her. He refuses, resolving to his guards pointing a gun at her and having her work below in the engine. Galo and company watch within Deus' lab to the ship rising.

The Parnassus then floats in the sky as screams fill the Promatech engine below. As this occurs, Deus X Machina suddenly makes it's appearance, heading straight for the ship's tower. Galo and Lio at first struggle with pilot due to the former finding the machine "uncool," but with the transformation to Lio de Galon, they proceed to attack the ship. This eventually results in Kray coming out in his own mecha, causing a fight inside the Parnassus' cityscape.

Before this, Aina calls Heris, informing her of Deus' demise. Kray attempts to silence her to no avail. The doctor later resolves to overheating the engine during the fight, resulting in the ship and robots to plummet downwards. After tricking Lio into attack him and throwing Galo off, he takes the fellow Burnish man away to use as a fuel source. As Lio's body struggles, the Parnassus begins to float once more. However, Galo had survived due to Lio's flames. This results in him taking down the engine and Kray himself. In the finale, after Galo de Lion saves the world, multiple characters are seen standing on top of the ship. Galo and Lio in particular comment on their newfound partnership and the future for the world.
