Rescue Gears are wearable firefighting armors used to extinguish Burnish flames. They are used specifically for Burning Rescue missions. Certain models may also carry survivors within their containers. Varys, Remi, and Galo are the only known pilots for these mechs.
Appearance[]
Type-V[]
The Type-V model features a construction theme and an orange and yellow palette. Each "hand" is a yellow construction tool used to either open up walls, destroy nearby flames, or lift up collapsing walls. It is also able to create a container for survivors.
Type-R[]
The Type-R model features a cooling theme alongside an orange and blue palette. The "hands" of the mech are in fact freeze guns used to fire at far away flames. On it's back is several tanks containing their ammo. Like Varys', Remi is also able to create a container to carry survivors in.

History[]
Galo-hen[]
During the events of Galo-hen, Varys and Remi are put in charge of gathering survivors and putting out Burnish flares. At this time, the Type-V and Type-R are the only rescue gears to exist. The duo alongside Ignis then encounter Mad Burnish. This ends up distracting them as the flames within trap one of the employees. Galo resorts to going out unarmored as Varys and Remi continue working outside.
Sometime after the short's events, Lucia invents a brand new type of rescue gear for Galo specifically: the Matoi Techer.
Promare[]
Burning Rescue is dispatched once more to deal with a recent attack on the Foresight Pharmaceutical. Like before, Varys and Remi take out nearby flares and rescue various employees. Galo, on the other hand, is sent above in a generic orange armor to assist Aina. He uses his Matoi to blow away the smoke. Suddenly, Lucia detects nearby Burnish signals, resulting in Galo to discover Gueira, Meis, and Lio.
Gueira and Meis attack, easily overpowering him. This then results in Galo to reveal his true armor. He immediately takes the duo out, resulting in Lio slamming his bike into Galo. A fight commences. When Galo is removed of his armor, Varys, Remi, and Aina step in. The trio easily overtake him as the Matoi Tech encases Lio. Mad Burnish's leader is then defeated.
Later on, during Lio's rampage in the city, Remi is shown shooting at various buildings atop the Mega Max. Varys and Lucia assist him within, filling up his ammo. Suddenly, a flaming Galo appears. After putting him out, Lucia shoots him to where Lio is. Burning Rescue is left exhausted in the aftermath.
After the Parnassus is dropped into the ground, Burning Rescue and Heris assist Galo by sending him underground in his mech to save Lio as well as distracting Freeze Force. Varys and Remi specifically are shown fighting against the police force with their own mechs.

All[]
- Efficient movement: All known rescue gears are bipedal and built specifically for their pilot. With the exception of the Matoi Tech, they are of average speed.
Type-V[]
- Immense strength: The Type-V rescue gear is able to destroy Burnish flares with its strength alone. The tools attached to the arms can easier grasp at larger objects, but may struggle with smaller ones. It will also use itself to hold up collapsing ceiling and prevent disasters. Varys can also use its arms to open up walls to free survivors within.
- Carrier: Varys is able to create a container that can hold several people within.
Type-R[]
- Freeze gun: Remi is able to fire multiple ice pellets at building fires from the weapons attached to Type-R's arms. These are enough to put out any Burnish flares.

- In earlier drafts, Ignis was to also have his own rescue gear mech appear in the movie, but this was scrapped[1].
