The Sunglasses Mad Burnish Member, or Sunglasses Burnish by some fans, is a brief minor character in the short Lio-hen. This makes him one of the few OVA exclusive characters in Promare related media.
He cooperates with Mad Burnish to protect their fellow Burnish.
Personality[]
As a member of Mad Burnish, he is depicted with a hard-boiled personality. Despite this, his aims follow the same as his generals: protect their fellow Burnish and cause havoc on the Foresight Foundation. For this, when the group first leaves for Promepolis, the member himself can be seen taking a bite out of his own flames, implying a rebellious and thrill-seeking side. He cares for his fellow members and is shown acting as watchman.
Appearance[]
He is a man with a brown complexion alongside an auburn goatee and hairstyle. His most prominent feature is his blue-tinted sunglasses which cover his eyes. He stands around the same height as Gueira or Meis. In terms of build, the chest is toned with the rest being average. He wears an all black jumpsuit featuring a thin belt and trekking boots. Like his fellow non-generals, his armor consists of a motorcycle helmet streaming yellow flames.
History[]
Lio-hen[]
At the beginning of the short, the sunglass-wearing man and his fellow colleagues drive off into Promepolis in excitement. Here, the group lights various buildings ablaze, specifically a local Foresight Pharmaceutical. At the arrival of Burning Rescue though, Gueira orders all non-general units to head out as they deal with the group.
At a deserted building, they are all seen once more keeping guard for non-Mad Burnish members. From this, a discussion occurs from a recently turned Thyma. She accidentally lights the generals ablaze who show no response. As they offer to let her join them, the sunglasses Burnish man signals Gueira to Freeze Force's arrival. They proceed to ride off to distract them. However, this soon falls apart as the likes of Thyma are abducted. Then Gueira and Meis themselves are frozen. This then leaves their troops who can only watch in fear. A sudden flaming arrow then shoots from above.
Lio Fotia arrives on the scene, saving all Mad Burnish members and fighting off Freeze Force. As he does this, he refuses to kill and as they all escape. Atop a desert cliff, the group confronts Lio on his actions. He claims that to kill would result in further mistreatment against the Burnish. At this, Lio instead offers the idea of forming a separate city where none can interfere. All members thus agree to have him as their new leader.
